Megan joined Thomas J Hornung & Associates in 2003 after graduation from the Wilmington Charter School and a brief time at the University of Delaware. She was hired as a receptionist (actually replacing her mother, Mary, who is now our bookkeeper) and file clerk but it quickly became obvious that she possesses uncommon skills that would make her an exceptional insurance professional.


She became licensed in the Fall of 2004 and in 2006 and 2008 received Ohio Casualty’s award for CIC Scholarships. She was named Outstanding Customer Service Representative of the Year for 2009 and recently completed her courses for and received her designation as CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor).

 

Megan has worked closely with Tom and other commercial sales representatives in providing exceptional service to our clients. As a manager, she also works with new hires training them in the successful methods she has developed and instilling in them the sense of pride she has in her job performance. She is also instrumental in keeping the agency in the forefront of emerging agency technology.

 

When she relaxes, Megan enjoys Summer camping trips, gardening and and spending time with her niece and nephew. “
